Thank you. There is indeed going to be a revolution when we collectively realize and decide that the billionaire assholes can’t have their golden toilets without plumbers - without electricians, carpenters, truckers, cooks, teachers, farmers and all of us who make their greedy little lives possible. When they can’t stomp their tiny little…feet…and get what they want five minutes ago. When the full Epstein files are released. When the theft and grift of the felon, the putrid odorous swampy stench and all of their sycophants is exposed. When those who have worshipped their golden idol realize - if ever - just exactly what they’ve done to all of us.
It starts with the midterm elections - and heaven (won’t be able to) help those who get in the way of that.
It would be more depressing if we were celebrating an ending. Hopefully, this isn’t that. What day is more important than the semiquincentennial marker? As in any anniversary: the day after. Then the one after that.
So so much thanks for this. I am a lil nervous, but as I sit in my quiet space reading this, it gives me hope. Hope to garner the strength to be me, to do, to create. Happy 4th.
Oh thank God. You said what needed to be said. We must celebrate and demand our freedom now more than ever. We cannot let the red hats commandeer this holiday and distort its meaning to fit their toxic agenda.
Not only this essay, but also all the comments spark hope. We’re scattered all around the country, we vote, we work for positive & compassionate change, and we’re not alone. All reasons to celebrate!
As I said to my Bookgroup when I forwarded this to them, more amazing wisdom from our national treasure.
You saved the day, again. Thank you Anne for your "dead on" reflection of where we are and what we are all feeling. Happy Fourth of July!
I like the Wendall Berry instruction to "do something every day that doesn't compute". I'm on it! ❤️
You always have the best words, Anne. I love you❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Rise up! Take her back!
Thank you thank you. You ARE the light, and I will be too.

Thank you for your wise, enlightening message, which is beautifully enhanced by your great sense of humor.
Thank you, Anne! Needed this ~ grateful.
Thank you so much for giving this wandering hopeless woman a reason to feel hopeful!! 🩷
How wonderful. One wandering Hoper at a time!

Yes, Beautiful! Be you. Let that little sparkler light shine ⚡️

Thank you for reminding me to stay positive in these dark times! It's my flag, too. <3
